“I would say the Potomac is probably one of the best home rivers you could have.” On the lower part of the Potomac River in a little canal called, Feeder Canal, Kaelin Friedenson learned to slalom kayak. As he got more and more into kayaking, he realized that the Potomac River has it all. From beginner’s whitewater and slalom on the lower section to Great Falls Park, which varies in difficulty throughout the year and water levels, it’s a kayaker’s dream playground. “You could come out and run The Falls any day of the year if you want, every day if you wanted to.” This is Kaelin Friedenson and the Potomac is his home run.
