Ever heard of the Manikia Project? It’s a non-profit organization founded by locals from Manikia, Greece and other surrounding villages. Built by a committed group of people who believe in Manikia’s extraordinary potential, the goal of the organization is to highlight outdoor activities in the region — climbing, hiking, cycling, caving, and swimming. The idea is that improving access to outdoor recreation in Manikia can help create opportunities that boost the region’s economy. Inspired by the group’s dedication to improving climbing access and developing the region, organizing the Petzl RocTrip in partnership with the Manikia Project just made sense.
