Laura Dahlmeier, Olympic Biathlon athlete and 7 x World Championship gold medalist, seeks to discover new terrain in a true backyard adventure with her climbing partner Martina Pomper. Cycling over 70km to the base of the Heiterwand traverse in the Austrian Tyrol, an impressive 7.5km long ridge wall never dropping below 2,400m, Laura and Martina attempt to traverse the ridge within one day, and cycle back home the next. Laura is no stranger to the mountains, growing up amongst the Wetterstein Mountains in Germany and exploring the outdoors with her parents from a young age. Up until 2019, Laura had been competing in Biathlon, winning 2 Olympic gold medals and 7 World Championship titles, Laura holds the title of the most successful German biathlete of all time. When Laura retired from competing, she found a different passion in outdoor adventures, living with the view of Zugspitze – the highest mountain in Germany – in her backyard, it’s no wonder why. Join Laura and Martina as they set out for an ultimate human-powered, backyard adventure.
