The Karwendel range in the Northern Alps has always been a special place for Ida-Sophie Hegemann. As a German trail runner living in Innsbruck, they mark the boundary between her homeland and her current home. She has always dreamed of running a route that traverses this range, and of setting a record time along the way. KARWENDEL follows her passion project to set a new FKT on the renowned Karwendel Höhenweg. A sinuous, 65-kilometre stretch of trail that links mountain huts, it normally takes hikers six days to complete the Höhenweg. In this attempt, Ida aims for less than 11 hours.
