The shoulder complex is one of the most complex joints in the body and it’s really important for all climbers to fully understand how it works to prevent shoulder injuries and improve climbing performance. We’ll specifically be focusing on scapula retraction, and how it affects the rotator cuff muscle function. We’ll also talk about common rotator cuff injuries and subacromial impingement syndrome! The aim of these videos is to really understand why to do things a certain way instead of blindly following techniques.
