The Dolomites have been on our climbing bucket list for over a decade, and finally getting to climb here as a family was nothing short of a dream come true. These iconic mountains are home to some of the most breathtaking landscapes and climbing routes in the world, and sharing this adventure with the kids made it even more special. This film is a particularly special one for me, Kirsty, as a climbing mum. I sent my hardest route since returning to climbing with kids, something I once thought was impossible. But here we are – it turns out that climbing and adventure travel can go hand in hand with family after all. So to any parents wondering if they can keep up an adventurous lifestyle with kids, I hope this speaks to you. It’s not always easy balancing motherhood, climbing, travel, work, and homeschooling, but it’s proving to be worth it for me, Hardin and for the kids. So on a personal note, to all the climbing mums, future mums, and new mums – it’s possible. You can have your cake and eat it too.
