Does this sound like you? We have several positions available at camp that may interest you! (18 and older)
General Counselor (GC): Serve as a role model and provide supervision and programming to campers ranging from 6-17 years old.
GC Aquatics and Waterfront focus: This position specializes as a lifeguard and instruct at our pool and waterfront. All certifications necessary can be completed through the YMCA.
GC Adventure focus: This position specializes in various adventure-based classes (low ropes courses, high ropes, general team building, zipline and rock climbing). The YMCA covers the cost of training, your only requirement is to not have a fear of heights.
Target & Land Sports Specialist: This position will instruct archery, sling shots, and other recreational sports. The YMCA covers the cost of training
Arts and Craft Specialist: This position will create unique and quality crafts, drawing and painting aspects and all things crafty. The position may be overnight or day.
Outdoor Education Specialist: This position will create various outdoor education-based classes that including survival, ecology, nature hikes and water studies. May be overnight or day.
Coordinator: Ensure well-rounded classes and experiences are offered to all age campers for their assigned activities. Provide in-house reviews (after initial training) of activity procedures.
-Aquatics: Oversees the Aquatics & Waterfront Specialists and any other lifeguards.
-Adventure: Oversees the Adventure Specialists and Target/Sports specialists.
Cooks: Assist in the preparation, serving, and cleaning up of all meals for campers and staff during the summer program
Drivers: responsible for the safe transportation of campers and staff using a company vehicles
