Create an Account
Creating an account on OutdoorEd.com is free and gives you access to additional features on the site. If you are interested in become a Contributor, you must have an account to submit content.
To create an account, click the Register link at the top of any page.
You will go to the page where you create your account. Enter the information and press submit.
Username: Your Username accepts only numbers, uppercase letters and lowercase letters, and a character length between 12 and 24. (Spaces are not allowed). Your Username must be unique in our system and yours will be rejected if there is already a user with that username.
Password: You must enter a complex password between 12 and 24 characters. The system will flag the strength of your password as you enter in and will only allow you to submit the form when you have entered one that is sufficiently complex. When you enter a password it is checked against the list created by the Have I Been Pwned Service to see if this password has been compromised. If it is found to be on a compromised list, you are not permitted to reuse that password. For security, the plain text version of your password is never sent to Have I Been Pwned, only 5 characters of the hashed password are sent over an encrypted connection to their API.
