I believe in doing hard things – forging who we are admidst the challenges of life, attempting our most daring dreams, and proving to ourselves we’re more capable than we ever imagined. On April 16th, 2024 I did exactly that. Follow my story as I embark on the journey to become the first female and New Zealander to conquer the notorious Cook Strait on a prone paddle board. This film takes you inside my intense training and preparation, revealing the life-threatening health battles I had to overcome, and follows along on the big day as I battled to the elements and raised crucial funds for the Nelson Surf Lifesaving Club.
