Your primary responsibility will involve guiding a group of 12-16 students through engaging and hands-on outdoor activities designed to stimulate critical thinking and explore the connections between the natural and human-made world. You’ll delve into topics like team building, field journaling, sustainability, animal tracking, and ecology. If you’re new to these subjects, worry not. We begin each season with paid staff training to prepare you for the exciting journey ahead.
As put by a former staff member
“I loved getting to work with such a diversity of students in so many different areas throughout New England and New York. One of the best parts of the job was traveling with my awesome fellow staff members and getting to explore every town after getting off work, including trips to the beach, hiking parts of the Appalachian trail, and trying out new restaurants!”

Instructors work with students from Monday to Friday throughout the fall season. Some Sunday travel may also be required. Our paid staff training starts on August 28, 2023, and the fall season wraps up around mid-November.
