Camp Skylemar, a summer camp in Naples, Maine seeks Outdoor Adventure Staff. At Skylemar, you’ll have the opportunity to be a leader and hero while teaching and mentoring kids. Our mission is to make a positive impact in the world, one child at a time. You’ll be mentored and develop dynamic skills within our creative and collaborative community. Camp Skylemar is a well-established (since 1948) recreational summer camp, located in southern Maine. The state of Maine, is more than a destination – it’s an experience that will take your breath away. In summer, there’s no better place to be than in Maine. From the beaches to the mountains, there’s so much to explore, and enjoy during your free time.
The Outdoor Adventure Staff will teach classes, promote leadership and lead/oversee hikes and overnight camping trips. Our ropes course consists of several high and low elements as well as a climbing wall. As a Ropes Course Counselor, staff assist our Ropes Course Director with the day-to-day running of the course. Counselors assist with team-building games and activities, spot kids as they navigate the obstacles on the low course as well as belay kids when they are on the high course and the climbing wall.
Known for our outstanding staff and attention to the individual child, Skylemar is a fantastic place to work. Compensation packages start at $3,200. We also provide housing, meals, travel expenses, staff clothing, internet access and a laundry service. Positions run from June 11 – August 6, 2023. We also offer staff the ability to workout, train and take online classes.
