Applicant must have the ability to teach and lead visiting 4th through 9th grade school children classes in natural sciences, outdoor skills, and group building initiatives. We are looking for staff members who are excited about working with children in an outdoor setting. You must be caring, creative, flexible and willing to work long hours while keeping a positive work attitude. College degree or 1 year experience in related field desired. Classes offered to students include: marine science, squid dissection, stream table, reptiles, group initiatives, forest ecology, wildlife ecology, sustainability, canoeing, orienteering, zip line, climbing wall, archery, and more. Duties include teaching classes and implementing evening programs, hosting meals and some weekend responsibilities. First Aid, CPR required. Life-guarding, waterfront, certifications as well as experience with the BEETLES project preferred, but not necessary. Paid training will be provided in all aspects of the curriculum, program activities and emergency response.
