Job Description

Teach and lead visiting school children classes in natural sciences, outdoor skills, and group building initiatives. We are looking for staff members who are excited about working with children in an outdoor setting. You must be caring, creative, flexible and willing to work long hours while keeping a positive work attitude.  College degree or 1 year experience in related field desired.  Classes offered to students include: marine science, squid dissection, reptiles, group initiatives, forest ecology, wildlife ecology, sustainability, canoeing, orienteering, zip line, climbing wall, archery, and more. Duties include teaching classes and implementing fun and exciting evening programs, hosting meals and some program area upkeep.   First Aid, CPR required.  Paid training will be provided in all aspects of the curriculum, program activities and emergency response.

 

 

Availability:  We're currently hiring for the fall season at Camp Seymour working with schools.   Join a fun, highly functioning team.  We are hiring either hourly paid positions ($15.75 - $18.00 per hour) living off site or positions living on site for $400- $425 per week starting plus paid training, room, board, utilities, laundry, a free YMCA membership, and more.  Work with a team of twelve outdoor and environmental educators to inspire thousands of kids and make a difference.
