Experienced educators teach the fundamentals of outdoor sports: from rock climbing to paddling. Instruct youth in the use and care of climbing equipment to essential climbing techniques. Teach the basics and the fundamental skills for safe paddling. Our program also goes beyond learning to hike, paddle or climb, its goal is to foster an appreciation for natural history in the areas we play and practice.

Available Positions

We need skilled teachers who want to make education better through working in our camps. We’re looking for:

  • Coordinators: Professionals with years of outdoor education and leadership experience.
  • Educators: Educators passionate about teaching skills and connecting kids to nature.
  • Expedition Guides: Guides to lead adventurous outdoor excursions.

Generous Bonus Pay Add-Ons for Certifications such CDL, Wilderness First Responder, Lifeguard, Teaching Certificates and more.

Responsibilities

Climbing Instructors are responsible for inspecting the climbing wall and climbing equipment, such as the rope, shoes, harnesses, carabiners, and belay devices; educating climbers on equipment use; providing a course to teach skills and techniques for climbers of all levels.

  • Preferred: Possess a current SPI certification (Bonus Pay Add-On).
  • Preferred: Possess a current Lifeguard, Swiftwater Rescue or American Canoe Association Level 3 or higher.
  • Possess a current First Aid / CPR certification.
  • Maintain high professional standards.
