Campus Recreational Services, reporting to the Division of Student Affairs, offers a multi-faceted program that is designed to encourage positive lifestyle choices and promote lifelong learning through both wellness and physical activity. The department manages the newly renovated Recreation Center at the East Gym and operates six core program areas: Fitness, Open Recreation, Intramurals, Club Sports, Outdoor Pursuits and Wellness Services. Through these programs, the department serves approximately 80% of undergraduate students, as well as graduate students, faculty and staff, alumni, University affiliates and community members.
Binghamton Outdoor Pursuits is dedicated to the promotion of physical activity, wellness and a deeper understanding of nature through experience-based outdoor, adventure and environmental education. Annually serving over 1,200 participants, ou instructors lead non-credit outdoor recreational activities, as well as teach credit-bearing courses under the Office of the Provost and University-Wide Courses.

Well-rounded leadership abilities including performance evaluation skills and team development processes are critical.
This position will supervise a student staff of approximately 8 employees (office staff and activity leaders). Major duties will include program administration, personnel management, and programming.
