Overview of position: The Rippleffect Registrar and Development Associate will be an essential member of our staff, which grows up to 50 employees in the full program season and will be a critical team member as Rippleffect continues its growth to meet the demand of serving more young people in through wilderness adventure. The Development & Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing the essential functions of assisting the Executive Director with development communications and organizational administrative projects.
The Registrar and Development Associate is supervised by the Executive Director. This position has these primary areas of responsibility:
Manage communications to/from Board Members as it relates to committee & Board meetings
Assist in grant writing process and research
Support all development outreach including e-mail, mailing, and phone calls
Manage donor database and ensure timely follow-up for all cash/in kind gifts made to the organization
Assist Executive Director in managing business operations which include but are not limited to:
Management of office supplies
Manage/organize office files (insurance, workers comp, licenses)
Collects/opens/distributes mail
Special administrative projects
Answering phones & distributing messages
Assist Program Coordinator in managing the registration and enrollment process of participants and families which include but are not limited to:
Managing our online enrollment database
Collection of forms and tuition payment
Creation of group informational files
Qualifications and Requirements include:
Experience with Microsoft programs, Google suite & adobe platforms
Strong client/customer service skills
Experience with customer/donor database systems
Experience and interest in the nonprofit sector, specifically related to development
Strong written and verbal skills
Thrives in a dynamic team-oriented environment
AmeriCorps VISTA Benefits and Stipends:
Receive a biweekly stipend of $587 throughout the 10 week term throughout the 10 week term
Choice of Education Award of $1300 or an end of summer cash stipend.
Education award can be to pay off qualified loans, or for educational expenses at Title IV school
Cash stipend of $345
Forbearance of federally qualified student loans during service term (interest paid by AmeriCorps)
