Enjoy a truly unique and rewarding summer! The nature department counselor will be working to share love of outdoors with campers. They will lead activities such as hikes, gardening, tending to the chicken coop, campfires, and work in conjunction with our other departments to run activities such as nature art, archery, kayaking, etc.

Independent Lake Camp is a co-ed, non-traditional, residential camp located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. We are located 2.5 hours north of New York City and 2.5 hours north of Philadelphia in the small town of Orson PA. Independent Lake Camp attracts campers and counselors from all over the USA and abroad. We cater to ages 6-17 and offer 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8 week sessions. We offer plenty of time off, one period every day and 4 nights per week. You will also receive one day off per week but not including the first and last week of your contract.  We are looking for staff who have an expertise in a certain area and a passion to share that expertise with kids.
