Program Overview and Job Summary:
KSS offers a range of programs that provide a balance of hands-on science activities, field-based exploration, and adventure programming. All programs are based upon a theme including but not limited to aquatic ecology, forest ecology, earth science, naturalization, health, and leadership.
The Summer Healthcare Assistant engages with our day, residential, and teen leadership programs. This position supports the Summer Health Care Provider during drop-off and pick-up and mid-week when they are on break. When the Summer Healthcare Assistant is on shift, they work on the KSS campus and are responsible for planning, administering, and documenting all staff and child health-related situations. All summer healthcare providers will be expected to adhere to dynamic health guidance and policy set forth by KSS while working with children during a global pandemic, which will include elements of a communal living environment.

Travel Expectations
In many situations, KSS will provide transportation to satellite programming locations. However, staff may be asked to use personal vehicles to travel within Summit County. Any travel mileage outside Summit County may be reimbursed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee often works outside and drives vehicles in various weather conditions.
