Camp Walt Whitman (www.campwalt.com), a traditional, co-ed, sleep away camp in the wilds of New Hampshire is looking for great people to complete our staff!  We are located on beautiful Lake Armington in the White Mountains, some of the most beautiful hiking country in the Northeastern United States.  The Appalachian Trail runs through New Hampshire and many of the hikes that our campcraft specialists lead are on these trails.  Hiking trips range from day hikes to 90+ mile 5 day traverses.  Biking trips lead campers through Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine on 4-5 day excursions.  Our ropes course is available for all campers with both high & low ropes course elements as well as a type of the line climbing tower and an aerial adventure course.  Join our staff of over 200 from over 30 states, and more than 12 countries for the summer of a lifetime!  

Our campcraft/outdoor trip leader positions are a haven for those who relish the great outdoors. Our 400 campers, ages 7-15 hike or backpack at least once a week.  Trips range from short day hikes to climbs up Mt. Washington (the highest peak on the eastern seaboard) to backpacking expeditions including up to 5 days on the Appalachian Trail.  Hiking is a major component of our program.  We are looking for experienced mountaineers and trip leaders. Certification provided in Wilderness First Aid (WFA), Mountain Leadership School, high/low ropes course training, general counselor orientation and optional lifeguard certification also provided Top salaries scaled on experience.  Travel allowance as well as room & board provided.
