Program Overview and Job Summary:
The Safety and Training Manager is responsible for developing, upholding, and training for all risk management practices for all departments and programs of Keystone Science School utilizing a collaborative approach with all staff members of KSS. This includes the adherence of all policies and procedures of the KSS Risk Management Plan, Colorado State Child Care Licensure Rules and Regulations, Summit County’s Public Health Department, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, American Camp Association (ACA) accreditation standards, and guidelines within the Pinnacol Safety Program.

Safety Committee Management and Facilitation
Site Visits and Implementation Oversight

Staff will be expected to adhere to dynamic health guidance and policy set forth by KSS while working with teammates and children during a global pandemic. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but varies seasonally due to programs and staffing on campus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee often works outside and drives vehicles in various weather conditions.
