The Adventure WV Climbing Wall & Trips Graduate Assistant assists with the management of the WVU climbing wall, Adventure WV outdoor climbing programs, and Adventure WV trips and custom programs.
Climbing Wall: The GA responsibilities may include facility oversight, programming, staffing, staff training and mentorship, risk management, inventory control, inspections, database management, route setting coordinator, class instructor.
Outdoor Climbing, Trips, & Custom Programs: The GA may serve as an outdoor site manager, outdoor site manager trainer, course director for various trips and programs, and may assist in the overall management of Adventure trips and programs. The GA may assist as needed with the management and operations of the First Year Trips program.
The GA may be asked to fulfill responsibilities associated with the Adventure WV program as needed, such as administrative support, challenge course support, and expedition program leadership. Finally, the GA is part of the Adventure WV management team and is expected to attend and engage in periodic staff meetings and priority initiatives, as their academic schedule allows.
