for the Position of Camp Director

    The George & Raymond Frank Foundation, a Section 501(c) charitable organization and operator of Camp Kawanhee for Boys in Weld, Maine, welcomes applications for the position of Camp Director.  Kawanhee is an A.C.A.-accredited residential summer camp founded in 1920 serving boys from throughout the United States and various other countries.  It is committed to a broad-based camp program offering an evolving and rich mixture of tradition and innovation, of intentional learning and spontaneous, unbridled joy.
    The Camp Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the camp program. The successful candidate will be at least 25 years of age, have extensive experience in youth camping and/or K-12 education, and be committed to the healthy development of young people through outdoor adventure and a dynamic and supportive community. Additional desirable qualities include (i) comfort with administrative details, (ii) a willingness to engage constructively and collaboratively with kids, staff, parents, alumni and camp leadership, and (iii) the ability to imagine and implement innovation that is sensitive to an established culture.  For a greater understanding of Kawanhee’s community and philosophy, please visit our website: Kawanhee.com.
