Camp Skylemar, a summer camp in Naples, Maine seeks Ropes Course Counselors for the duration of our camp this summer.  At Skylemar, you’ll have the opportunity to be a leader while teaching, coaching and mentoring kids. Working at Skylemar is the experience of a lifetime. You’ll create lifelong friendships and connections. Camp Skylemar is a well-established (since 1948) recreational summer camp, located in southern Maine.  The state of Maine, is more than a destination – it’s an experience that will take your breath away. In summer, there’s no better place to be than in Maine. From the beaches to the mountains, there’s so much to explore, and enjoy during your free time.

Our ropes course consists of several high and low elements as well as a climbing wall. As a Ropes Course Counselor, staff assist our Ropes Course Director with the day-to-day running of the course. Counselors assist with team-building games and activities, spot kids as they navigate the obstacles on the low course as well as belay kids when they are on the high course and the climbing wall.

Known for our outstanding staff and attention to the individual child, Skylemar is a fantastic place to work. Compensation packages start at $3,200. We also provide housing, meals, travel expenses, staff clothing, internet access and a laundry service. Positions run from June 12 – August 7, 2022. Two weeks of preseason training and weekly in-service training sessions help provide a strong foundation to assume summer responsibilities. We also offer staff the ability to workout, train and take online classes.

We offer internship credit. Most educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. Check with your institution to be sure this opportunity meets any requirements.
