This person is responsible for assisting in the management of the logistical systems that support our wilderness-based expeditions. The Logistics Manager works closely with the Operations Supervisor and Course Directors to ensure that instructors and participants are provided with the necessary resources to be successful and comfortable while on trip. Responsibilities include overseeing food, equipment, and transportation for the summer season.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensure safety, quality, and organization of all logistical systems.
- Managing the organization, function, and availability of all program equipment, including backpacking, camping, rock climbing and mountaineering technical equipment, clothing, etc.
- Planning, purchasing, and organizing field appropriate and culturally appropriate meals.
- Manage a team of 4-6 Logistics Coordinators who will aid in the delivery of the summer program.
- Collaborating with staff to pack and prepare all field-going food and equipment.
