Our instructors will lead courses that combine technical activities such as rock climbing and kayaking, and non-technical activities like including team building, camp craft, nature walks and service. Dragonfly provides incoming staff with training in all of the outdoor skills required to be a successful instructor. Benefits include HKD 20,000-22,000 per month (approx. USD 2500-2800), plus low-cost, shared staff housing, food on overnight programs, contract completion bonuses, and opportunities for advancement.
Applicants should have a university degree, outdoor skills (life guarding, kayaking, climbing, surfing, ropes course, etc.), a minimum of two seasons in a teaching/instructional role with children, youth or adults in outdoor education programs, and be able to pass a police clearance check. Initial contracts with Dragonfly are 9 or 10 months (Feb-Nov or Sept-May). After completion of the first contract, seasonal commitments are available.
