YMCA of the Rockies Environmental Education Program is hiring teachers for the fall season! Environmental Education Instructors will teach environmental education classes in Rocky Mountain National Park, lead team-building activities, perform organization and cleaning tasks, communicate with schools and school leaders, and assist in any projects or tasks that better the Environmental Education Program.
Contract dates are August 22nd-November 4th, 2022.
Location: YMCA of the Rockies – Estes Park Center in Estes Park, Colorado, walking distance from Rocky Mountain National Park.
Benefits: Instructors receive three paid-for certifications: Wilderness First Aid (WFA), Project Learning Tree (PLT), and Better Environmental Education Learning Teaching Expertise Sharing (BEETLES). Along with two weeks of staff development training on natural history, team building (low ropes course), adventure, lesson planning, EDI, working with students with disabilities, and more! Staff will also get to join the YMCA of the Rockies Staff Experience outings that go into Rocky Mountain National Park and do day trips to other parts of Northern Colorado.
