We are accepting applications for a dynamic, leadership positions, all related to the whitewater programming we offer through Alzar School and Confluences River Expeditions (Confluences River Expeditions is a subsidiary of Alzar, operating as a commercial outfitter on the Main Salmon River).

Our school integrates the “six foundations” of our program, Academics, Leadership Training, Outdoor Adventure, Cultural Exchange, Service Learning, and Environmental Stewardship, to motivate passionate future leaders. Confluences River Expeditions is a subsidiary of Alzar School and has the mission to bring people together for world-class experiences on the Main Salmon River.

  1. Alzar School OP Coordinator: River specialist (seasonal, contracted weeks in January/February in Idaho & Chile and April/May + August/September in Idaho)
  2. CRE Operations & Logistics Manager (seasonal, April through early October, full time during those months and in-person)
  3. CRE Customer Service Manager (year-round, full time, available for remote work)
  4. Combo of CRE Operations & Logistics Manager + CRE Customer Service Manager + Alzar School OP coordinator (year-round, full-time position, in-person)

For the right candidate, we have the ability to combine responsibilities between work at Alzar and Confluences to create a year-round, full-time position.  Or, we have the ability to hire individuals focusing on one aspect of the position.   Alzar is fortunate to operate in some of the most spectacular environments, including (but not limited to) the Wild & Scenic Main Salmon River, Boise and Payette National Forests, Patagonia National Park, the Rio Baker, and more.  This position is based out of our campus in Cascade, Idaho.  Some positions may be open to remote work.  We’re looking to adapt the position to the strengths of the individual
