Job Type: Seasonal

Job Description

Nature & Ecology Instructors facilitate hands-on learning about the natural world through active lesson plans, nature crafts, and hikes. Our campers range from 4 – 14 years old, and we are seeking compassionate individuals who will engage children in activities that further their awareness of the world around them in an outdoor, non-classroom setting.

Staff ride the bus to camp each day with their campers. Buses leave from North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, West Hills, Agoura, Westlake, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, and Newbury Park. If your home is within 30 minutes of any of these locations, you can easily be a part of our program this summer.

Our child-centered program focuses on personal growth for our campers, and our Leadership Team (a group of of camp and education professionals) focuses on growth for our staff. We are looking for motivated individuals who have a desire to teach, nurture, and create lasting memories. As a staff member at Kinneret, your summer will be full of singing and activities, developing relationships with campers, and ultimately, making a difference in campers’ lives. If you are looking to join a supportive and fun community, then Kinneret is the place for you!

Availability:  Applicants must be college-aged or older and have housing available to them in the greater Los Angeles area. A background in teaching or in environmental/natural sciences is preferred.
