Hi, I am a teacher and outdoor education instructor in Alberta, Canada. I work during the summer at an outdoor school in the Rockies, and we are working on developing a semester program for high school students. This is very much in the beginning stages, but we would like to offer a 4 month semester if high school credit courses from our site in the mountains, with students living here and participating in ouitdoor activities as part of their regular studies. We are thinking of offering courses such as biology, french, phys ed/outdoor education, and also something like life skills/careers. I would like to learn more about other schools that offer a program such as this, and also ideas for course, curriculum, and words to the wise.
